According to Pinterest, searches for ‘Eras tour outfits’ are up 70 per cent in the last month, so undoubtedly the question on everyone’s mind is what to wear to the gig of the summer. Whether you’re a Swiftie, or simply chaperoning one, it’s still an excuse to go all out. What’s the grown up way to do summer gig dressing? Channel grown-up bohemia with ruffled maxi dresses or delicate ruffled shirts paired with 70s-inspired jeans. When it comes to shoes, nod to festival chic with a pair of Western boots – whether vintage or brand new, they are firmly in favour with the fashion set right now – or opt for comfort with a pair of of-the-moment trainers. Lastly, finish with a flourish of excitement via your accessories: opt for a sequinned bag, a multi-coloured friendship-style beaded bracelet (although, you may not want to trade this one!) or a silver textured belt that references Sienna Miller’s Glastonbury hey-day. If you go for the latter, keep the rest of your look clean and minimal: think a black shirt and jeans à la New York designer Nili Lotan: you’ll look more Left Bank, Emmanuelle Alt-type than festival cliche.
