Love it or loathe it, season four of Emily In Paris premieres next month and Netflix has just dropped a trailer filled with fun, fashion and plenty of drama.
What do we know about the new season? After a tumultuous ending to season three – where Emily learnt that her on-again-off-again boyfriend Gabriel (played by Lucas Bravo), is expecting a baby with his ex, Camille (played by Camille Razat) – in season four we meet Emily embracing single life in Paris again. Enjoying being relationship-free, the new season sees Emily spread her wings away from the city of love, travelling to Rome and the French Alps.
So far, so ideal. But, true to form, drama is always lurking around the next corner. At work, Sylvie (played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), read about her coveted style here, is shaking things up with personnel changes at Agence Grateau, while battling her own personal, and marital, dilemmas. Netflix has also announced that a line up of new guest stars for Emily In Paris season four will include Rupert Everett, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Anna Galiena and Raol Bova.
As for the fashion, the costumes look as statement-making as ever, with the trailer revealing strong monochrome styles, autumnal patterns such as houndstooth and check, and suiting in bold primary shades. “Emily is really coming into her own, asserting herself, becoming much stronger with a style that is reinterpreting Parisian fashion codes,” costume designer Marylin Fitoussi. Emily in Paris Season 4 will be split into two five-episode parts. Part one premiers on August 15, 2024 followed by part two on September 12, 2024.
