This Is What Instagram’s Most Stylish Are Wearing On Holidays

In case you missed it: cliched holiday prints have become cool. Think: fish motifs and sea shells, paired with what the internet is referring to as ‘eccentric aunt’ jewellery. Think: crystals, coral, carnelian beads and a general hodge-podge of charms.

Stripes for success: head-to-toe pattern might be out of character for your usual aesthetic, but on holidays it could make perfect sense. See style influencer Monikh who is wearing a Neopolitan striped knit by Faithfull the Brand

Is it a nightie or a sun-dress? Vintage-inspired mini dresses are the perfect layering piece over a swimsuit. Choose swimwear in bright poppy red and accessorise with a raffia sun hat, in the vein of Lilly Sisto.

Cream crochet and Chanel? Sounds like an excellent pairing for when the mercury rises. For similar shorts, try this scallop-trim pair from Sofia Richie Grainge’s collaboration with Solid + Striped

Love it or loathe it, jelly sandals have returned for SS24. Albeit, in a more sophisticated way. Not for you? Try a fisherman-style leather sandal – it’s a similar shape but executed with more luxurious materials.

Crinkle fabric swimsuits are all the rage thanks to Hunza G. The British label revitalised crinkle fabric, originally used by a label called Hunza to design Julia Roberts’ statement cut-out dress in Pretty Woman. On the high street, look to brands like Hush, Marks & Spencer and Dunnes Stores for similar styles.

Invested in a pair of co-ords? Good choice, they’re an excellent way to bulk up your holiday wardrobe. As well as wearing them together, do as style influencer Anouk Yve does and use them to pull together multiple outfits with staples like white jeans, lightweight neutral T-shirts and pleat-front shorts.

Tip: a white linen shirt, whether it’s tossed into your beach bag as a post-swim cover-up, or paired with tailored shorts, is a veritable holiday wardrobe saviour.

Dressing for a post-beach tipple? Go with a statement puff-sleeve dress that guarantees maximum impact with minimal effort: meaning you can take it easy on accessories and opt for barely-there, bronzed makeup.

An XXL straw bag seems to be the statement du jour on the internet. We say? If you can’t afford the YSL or Miu Miu iterations seek out affordable styles on Etsy, or at COS and Arket.
